Senior Shih Tzu comes from Abusive Home

The following article is part of an ongoing effort to help homeless dogs in and around the Toronto/Hamilton area find suitable and loving homes. Sometimes this effort extends even further, since there are so many dogs that find themselves in dire circumstances. Currently, the need is great but the homes are few. Your help is desperately needed.

Loyal Rescue of Peterborough, Ontario (east of Toronto) recently took in Molly, a loving senior Shih Tzu.

Molly is 10 years young and weighs about 10 pounds. This happy and friendly girl is currently in a foster home in London, Ontario. According to her foster mom, she was surrendered from an abusive home.

“Molly is an adorable tiny Shih Tzu who appears far younger than her stated age,” she noted. “She is very playful and loves all the other dogs, trying to get them to play often! She is a cuddle bug and doesn't appear to be affected by her past life where she was not treated well at all. Luckily her past owner decided that Molly deserved better and she asked for my help. She certainly is flourishing!”

Molly was spayed last month and is doing well, she added. She does have allergies but they are kept under control with Benadryl two times each day. She loves to go for walks and run in the back yard.

Her foster mom advised that she should go to a home “where she will be a very loved important family member with or without another playful small dog will be just fine with her. Molly sure deserves all the attention she can get but is not clingy.”

This sweet girl is up-to-date on her routine shots and housetrained.

"If you think you can love a little girl like Molly, I hope you will fill out an application and we can chat."

You can contact her foster mom by email me at obkennels@rogers.com.

"I can also send videos of Molly playing on request !"
