A relatively new group of professionals in the business of providing services to seniors and their caregivers has sprung up in Frederick County, MD. It is the Senior Resource Alliance and it is literally an alliance of people who care a great deal about helping seniors and their families.
There is a core membership which consists of people in disciplines such as Alzheimer’s care, assisted living, financial planning, estate planning and tax law, real estate, travel, a downsizing specialist, Medicare specialist, end of life services and more.
The group formed to bring awareness to the market of the need for senior services of all kinds and each of the members is an expert in their field and is willing to speak before groups who are interested in their services. The members network among themselves and refer a service to a potential client when appropriate.
The value of being referred by someone in the Alliance and dealing with a service provider from the Senior Resource Alliance is in knowing that they are all intrinsically interested in helping people. This is clear from the moment you meet any of them. They behave as a team of sorts where each has a role to play in the process of helping a client, yet they are all independent professionals.
As boomers age and the senior population grows there will be an ever growing need for one or more of the services provided by the Senior Resource Alliance.
They meet on the third Thursday of the month at 3 p.m. at Legacy Financial Associates offices located at 149 W. Patrick St in Frederick, MD. To learn more contact Tracy Bush at Legacy Financial at 301-624-1717 or visit the Alliance’s Facebook page. The meetings are an open forum and they invite seniors and their caregivers to join their meetings.
