A senior basset hound in Washington State desperately needs a home by Friday - and he's hoping that someone will see his story and fall in love. On Wednesday, Sept. 3, Old Dog Haven announced on their Facebook page that a basset hound named "Fred" is in urgent need of a home.
Fred is approximately 15-16 years old and he tips the scales at 43 pounds. He's a handsome, loving old guy who is good with everyone, including other dogs, cats, and respectful children. Because of his age, stairs are hard for him to negotiate. Fred also needs to have bathroom breaks every 3-4 hours.
This sweet senior enjoys the finer things in life, including casual strolls, and he's wonderful on a leash. Fred can bark a little when you leave him, but won't continue to bark for very long. Fred would very much appreciate going to a home where he has a canine buddy for companionship.
According to Fred's owner, Fred is a very slow, sweet dog who loves to eat and loves being with people. Please, share Fred's story to help him find a home by Friday! Fred is waiting in Tenino, Washington to find his special someone.
For more information on Fred, please email Old Dog Haven at placement @ olddoghaven. org. Old Dog Haven will put you in contact with the owner or provide more information for you.
