Nikko is a beautiful little dog who hopes his new special someone will see his story and fall in love with him. Nikko’s elderly owner is being moved across the country this weekend – and this loving little dog urgently needs to find a home. According to Old Dog Haven, Nikko’s owner is being forced to give Nikko up, but this lovely little dog still has so much love to give. Nikko hopes you’ll help him find his new family.
According to Old Dog Haven, Nikko, a 14-year-old Pomeranian, hasn’t had anyone follow through with him – and now time is running out. Nikko is currently being held at the veterinarian’s office while he waits to find his new home.
This senior Pomeranian weighs approximately six pounds. He’s shown that he’s good with other dogs, but he hasn’t lived with – or been observed around – any cats. Small children worry Nikko, so he should only go to a home with respectful children who are 10 years old and over.
Nikko has hypothyroidism, which is treated with an inexpensive medication that is administered twice daily. He’s fine being left alone for several hours at a time without needing a potty break. As dogs age, though, they may require more potty breaks.
This little gentleman walks well on a leash as long as he’s harnessed and he does not require much exercise. Nikko can do stairs, but he would probably prefer being carried up and down.
Nikko is described as loving and very easy going. While his lifelong owner is being forced to give him up, Nikko hopes that someone else can open their heart and home to him for the December of his days. Nikko is currently being boarded in Federal Way, Washington and needs to find a forever home as soon as possible.
