Recently, Sherry Faber made a gruesome discovery outside of her Westchester, Ohio home.
According to Fox 8 news, Faber found her partially blind, 13-year-old Chow mix "Chewy", hanging from a tree on May 10. Though she immediately took the dog down and tried to perform CPR, it was too late and Chewy was gone.
Faber told Fox 8 News,
“So I went back out to get my other dogs, that’s when I saw her hanging in the tree. And, I ran as fast as I could over there and got her down and tried to do CPR. And, there’s nothing I could do to bring her back. I mean, I tried,”
Tragically, the senior dog had been saved from an abusive situation, only to die at the hands of evil at the home of the woman who rescued him. Faber said,
“I took her away from somebody that abused her and now look, I let the abuse come over here and get her after all,”
Westchester police are investigating this heinous act of animal cruelty.
