The Lucky Penny Entertainment branch of Right Stuf, Inc. announced last week, plans to release the anime series “Sengoku Collection” on DVD at the start of August.

“Sengoku Collection” is based on the social networking game created by Konami, and the anime is directed by Keiji Gotoh (Kiddy Grade) and features animation from Brain’s Base (Penguindrum). In the series, a parallel world version of Oda Nobunaga is a young girl in a conflict to gain control of the land, but a mysterious light takes Nobunaga as well as friends and foes to our world. Adjusting to a technology filled world, history’s greatest warriors must adapt in order to survive, and while Nobunaga is determined to get home by collecting the “Secret Treasures”, some of her counterparts seem to be thriving, like Tokugawa Ieyasu the pop idol and Uesugi Kenshin the voluptuous model.

Lucky Penny Entertainment will release “Sengoku Collection” in a Litebox-style DVD case, housing the complete 26-episode anime series, on August 5, 2014, with an SRP of $49.99. The series will include Japanese audio with English subtitles and on-screen translations. To learn more about “Sengoku Collection” you can visit the official page.
