Sending Money with PayPal

PayPal is one of the most convenient, safe, and flexible ways to send money online. Whether you are sending money, billing someone, or paying a bill, PayPal can help you with your need.


The easiest way to send and receive money through PayPal is to register an email addres and an account with them. This way, anybody sending you money can have it go to your PayPal account by sending it to your email address through PayPal's server.

Also, you can send others money by sending it to their email address or cell phone number through PayPal's server as well. Once they receive the email, they must create a PayPal account to receive the money. Afterward, they can sync the account to one of their bank accounts to transfer the money over. Or, they can get a PayPal debit card and spend the money directly from their PayPal account.

PayPal App

Through the PayPal app, money can be sent as a gift, a payment to a friend, or a bill payment. The PayPal app is available for Andriod and iPhone (Apple) devices and can be downloaded from their perspective stores.

Text messaging

You can connect your cell phone number to your PayPal account and send money via text message. All you have to do is:

1. text 729725 (PAYPAL)
2. key in the specific amount you want to send
3. add the words "send" and "to" (this step is optional)
4. key in the receiver's email address or cell phone number

As always, the receiver must create a PayPal account to receive the money.

Online via cell phone

By going to, you can send money online through your phone by following these steps once you are on the website:

1. click Send money
2. log in to your PayPal account (make sure you have a registered PayPal account)
3. enter the reciever's email address or phone number in the "To" box
4. click Continue
5. enter the amount you are wishing to send
6. click Send Now

Once you click Send Now, the payment part on your behalf will be initaited.
