Sending LOST out in style

Exclusive LOST party kit from the ABC TV store.

Okay LOST fans, the finale is nearing and many of you are planning LOST watch parties. But to make your party memorable, it’s time to get creative. The evening is sure to be chocked full of surprises and emotion. In fact, after what happened to Sun & Jin, you may want to keep tissues handy!  How will you decorate? What will you serve? And will you offer giveaways? Remember, you’ve got a big block of time to cover.  Here are some quick links to help you nail down ideas and get your party started:

Oceanic boarding pass, from the Dharma Recruit Welcome Kits at A Dash of That.

Lostpedia, the online LOST encyclopedia, has taken the time to publish a LOST Party Guide that includes suggested food & drink, LOST games, an official Evite, as well as knowledge-based links to prep you for the finale.

Custom Apollo wrappers from A Dash of That.

The page also includes an “Add Your Party Tips” list.  Some of my favorites include passing out Mega Lotto Jackpot tickets; serving your own Dharma fish biscuits; and the LastLostFace movement that prompts fans to inconspicuously videotape themselves watching the LOST finale, then take a screencap of their face during a moment of shock or awe and post it to LLL's group Facebook page. Lots of other fun ideas from Lostpedia, so be sure to check out the entire list.

Charlie's tarot card from Alex Griendling.

More ideas:

The blog -- a dash of that -- has LOST finale party invitations, Apollo candy bar wrappers, and Mr. Cluck’s Chicken bucket designs.

Alex Griendling created LOST-themed tarot cards with some very clever designs. Check them out here.

And don't forget:

On Thursday, May 20, Times Talks Live presents an evening with LOST executive producers Cuse and Lindelof. Go behind the scenes of the hit series!

Don't miss this compelling in-depth conversation with the masterminds behind ABC’s “Lost.” Hear executive producer Carlton Cuse and co-creator/executive producer Damon Lindelof reveal the challenges of crafting a finale that satisfies themselves as storytellers, and the show’s legion of fans.

The event will include a teaser from the finale and fan Q&A, moderated by the entertainment editor of the New York Times. The event will be broadcast in theaters nationwide, and tickets are on sale now. Fans can also submit an advance question for Darlton via email to timestalks@nytimes.com.
