Not so long ago in 2009 a new Boulder startup, SendGrid launched its debut by completing the TechStars boot camp program. SendGrid is a solution for companies that need to send out mass emails without the fear of them being lost to spam boxes and according to their website, is the largest email infrastructure provider in the entire world dealing with millions of emails each and every month.
Why SendGrid is so successful
We live in a world where ecommerce stores are booming and quickly becoming the go-to way for shopping. Selling online allows businesses to reach anyone anywhere at any time, increasing their target consumers tenfold. One way in which businesses with online store fronts keep up traffic to their store is with newsletters and updates about new products and sales. The consumer can sign up to be a part of the business’s contact list and the business will then send out mass emails to all contacts at one time. The problem with tese chains of automated emails is that many times the mail gets sorted into the spam folders of email instead of the regular inbox. This is where SendGrid comes in. SendGrid provides a way for you to bypass the spam box and ensure that your company’s emails are actually reaching the contact recipients.
John Dillard at www.bestriflescope.org said, “It’s comforting to know that in today’s time, with all of the new technology, there are companies like SendGrid out there making ways for fellow entrepreneurs to become more successful even when we don’t understand all that the new technology has to offer.”
Recently SendGrid has obtained $20 million in venture capital funding from Bain Capital Ventures in Boston, totaling over $47 million since their initial startup. With this $20 Million SendGrid plans to further expand their company by adding new offices, hiring more employees and work to make their email infrastructure even better.
