Crime seems to have taken a backseat for some voters as they contend with higher taxes, increased utility bills and decreased job opportunities. But crime is a very serious matter here in Atlanta and throughout Georgia.
Not only do people in Atlanta and all across the state worry about common crimes committed daily in the cities, towns, and neighborhoods; but now they have an increase worry about terrorism.
Our local police, sheriff, and marshal’s offices are the first line of defense in local crime and/or terrorism. They are the ones “Johnny on the sport,” with one phone call and they look to those in leadership above them and Johnny Isakson has proven by his past experience to be there for our state.
This is no time in our history to have someone in Washington who does not understand the serious threat that we live under from outside crimes against our country.
It is important to have the ear and attention of all elected officials both local, state, and in the federal government.
Mr. Isakson has received a whole heartedly endorsement from the Georgia Fraternal Order of Police for his state. They cite his record of demonstrating a record of commitment to the needs of law enforcement in Congress and in the Georgia Legislature.
Neil Warren of Cobb County was quoted as saying, “I have had the pleasure of knowing Johnny since 1974 and have seen over the years the positive impact he has on our community both locally and nationally. As a state legislator, congressman and current United States senator, he has always been a friend and ardent supporter of law enforcement,”
Johnny said, “I am very grateful for the brave men and women who risk their lives every day to protect our Georgia communities. Law enforcement is absolutely critical, and I am fully committed to seeing that they have the support necessary to protect us from crime and terrorism,” said Isakson. “I am humbled and honored to receive backing from both local and state law enforcement leaders.”

This piece is a joke. Well, actually it's a press release.
Fears of terrorism will bring voters to Isakson? That's so George Bush.
You gotta me kidding me. You people are so funny. You read the whole piece, I hope? This was merely to let people know that the "2010 Crime" piece I was asked to write had both a local and federal connection. You just look for the negative in everything. This has nothing to do with fear. But thanks for the compliment regarding Georgia Bush - he puts rings above what we have now. Oh, that we could vote him in again. You really didn't see anything else in this article? Oh, I forgot you guys just look for what you can bash.
Got something to say?
