There's a war against Christians living in the Middle East and Africa, according to analysts, at the hands of radical Muslims.
The current U.S. policy toward Syria has resulted in our nation aiding Islamic rebels who are affiliated with al-Qaeda. Some of these rebels have committed atrocities against Christians in their bid to "cleanse" Syria of infidels. On Oct. 12 Sen. Paul said at the Values Voter Summit in Washington D.C.:
"From Boston to Zanzibar, there's a worldwide war on Christianity. Christians are being attacked around the world, but you won't hear much about it on the evening news because the answer's not convenient. It doesn't fit the narrative we have been told about radical Islam."
A report on the CNS News website says that Sen. Paul accused President Obama of glossing over "who's attacking and killing Christians." The mainstream media calls it sectarian violence but it's really a war against Christians all across the world "by a fanatical element of Islam." Sen. Paul, further explained "not all Muslims support violence against Christians."
It's said there are around two billion Muslims in the world and that there's only a minority of them that condone violence against Christians. According to an article on The Christian Science Monitor website around three percent of Muslims say that violence is acceptable.
If just three percent of Muslims support violence, jihad, that puts the number at 60 million. This is the number of radical Muslims in the world who would enforce Islamic law upon us all. Let's put that into perspective, in the U.S. there are around 313 million citizens. If 60 million were for an idea that would mean one in five would support it.
In September, Syrian terrorists attacked a Christian village. It's said that the al-Nusra Front committed a number of atrocities against the villagers. In August, radical Syrian rebels beheaded a Christian man and fed his body to dogs. A Catholic priest was beheaded by jihadi fighters in northern Syria.
In Egypt there were numerous attacks against Christians during Morsi's ouster. One report says, "a Muslim mob overpowered a man and his nephew. They were hacked with axes, beaten with clubs and tree limbs, as a result of the attack the uncle died."
The Muslim Brotherhood shot and killed a 10-year-old girl, Jessica Boulous. She was killed after attending bible class at the Ahmed Esmat Street Evangelical Church in Cairo.
In Nigeria a pastor was beheaded after Muslims demanded, "renounce your faith or die." Another pastor was shot dead by the Boko Harem, also in Nigeria. He was overhead by his wife saying, "I will never deny my Savior."
The examples listed above are only several examples of atrocities committed against Christians in Muslim countries. They would seem to confirm what Sen. Paul said about a world-wide war being waged against Christians.
