Sen. Dianne Feinstein in her attempt to regulate and control evil behavior with more unscrupulous legislation is a trampling of the US Constitution plain and simple! Under her BS legislation essentially the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution would no longer exist.
Let's take a step back in history to what essentially led to the rise of Nazi Germany and Hitler's Death camps. It starts with the below:
In 1919 and 1920, to stabilize the country and in part to comply with the Treaty of Versailles, the German Weimar government passed very strict gun ownership restrictions. Article 169 of the Treaty of Versailles stated, "Within two months from the coming into force of the present Treaty, German arms, munitions, and war material, including anti-aircraft material, existing in Germany in excess of the quantities allowed, must be surrendered to the Governments of the Principal Allied and Associated Powers to be destroyed or rendered useless."[1]
In 1919, the German government passed the Regulations on Weapons Ownership, which declared that "all firearms, as well as all kinds of firearms ammunition, are to be surrendered immediately."[2] Under the regulations, anyone found in possession of a firearm or ammunition was subject to five years' imprisonment and a fine of 100,000 marks.
On August 7, 1920, the German government enacted a second gun-regulation law called the Law on the Disarmament of the People. It put into effect the provisions of the Versailles Treaty in regard to the limit on military-type weapons.
In 1928, the German government enacted the Law on Firearms and Ammunition. This law relaxed gun restrictions and put into effect a strict firearm licensing scheme. Under this scheme, Germans could possess firearms, but they were required to have separate permits to do the following: own or sell firearms, carry firearms (including handguns), manufacture firearms, and professionally deal in firearms and ammunition. This law explicitly revoked the 1919 Regulations on Weapons Ownership, which had banned all firearms possession.
Stephen Halbrook writes about the German gun restriction laws in the 1919-1928 period, "Within a decade, Germany had gone from a brutal firearms seizure policy which, in times of unrest, entailed selective yet immediate execution for mere possession of a firearm, to a modern, comprehensive gun control law."[3]
Well we all know how the above panned out for the entire World!! Not so well either for over 6 million Jews.
Ok, so let's take a look at some more recent history when the first "assault weapons ban" that was instituted in 1994 under the newly elected President Bill Clinton. He wasted little time in seizing upon “assault weapons” as a political issue. For a more detailed summary go HERE.
Results of 1994 assault weapons ban is clearly evident and not talked about frequently by the anti's or media types who feel it doesn't fit their mantra. A 2004 Washington Times article does a nice job of summarizing the laws futility!
NIJ is the Justice Department’s research, development and evaluation agency — assigned the job of providing objective, independent, evidence-based information to the department through independent studies and other data collection activities.
Even before the bill was passed the NIJ stated in their report that these (so called) assault weapons were only used in 2% of crimes nationwide.
Article HERE discusses the fact that Congress let the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban expire. Then Congressman now Governor of Idaho below summed it up PERFECTLY:
U.S. Rep. Butch Otter, R-Idaho, trumpeted the end of the federal law. “President Clinton’s so-called ’assault weapons’ ban was nothing more than a sop to antigun liberals,” Otter said in a written statement. “It provided only the illusion of reducing gun violence, but it did real damage to our liberties.”

Before we go any further let's all ask ourselves one simple question? Does the term Assault Weapon or Assault Rifle mean anything? Is not any and all weapons designed with the purpose to kill... an assault weapon? Let's face it...my pen or pencil could be used as an assault weapon if I attacked someone with it in the neck. It's important for people to understand that the main stream media and politicians have "Hijacked" the term assault weapon from the Military. It's purely a hyperbole, exaggeration and misrepresentation and clearly a political ploy. Very few people have a TRUE assault weapon that is used by the military. That would be a weapon capable of firing full automatic or select fire where a rifle can fire 3 round bursts. These weapons can be purchased but are highly regulated by the ATF. They cost a lot more money with the government already regulating them with additional paperwork and charging at least $200. These guns are very expensive and most criminals couldn't afford them as the high cost is prohibitive. These weapons cost $15K each and that was back in 2010, I'm sure that they are way more now! These weapons are also collected and owned by true gun and shooting enthusiasts. They are the Maserati's & Lamborghini's of Firearms and Weapons.

If legislation like or similar to what this lady (being nice) is proposing were to pass just KISS the 2nd Amendment goodbye!

The author of the letter, Cpl. Joshua Boston who was deployed to Afghanistan between 2004-05, told CNN that he opposes gun registration because it will lead to confiscation. Moreover, that passing more gun control laws will only serve to disarm law-abiding citizens, leaving them defenseless.
“I own the guns I own because I acknowledge mankind’s shortcomings instead of pretending like they don’t exist. There are evil men in this world and there just may be a time when I need to do the unthinkable to protect me or my family,” Boston said.
Historically speaking Sen. Feinstein and others like her fall into one of 2 categories: Guns have ONLY 2 Enemies.....RUST and POLITICIANS.
History does repeat and if Americans are not vigilant we as a people could become the next Victims. The 2nd Amendment is not about hunting and hunting rifles. It's about tyranny and fighting against it.
