The Seminole Bromeliad and Tropical Plant Society will be holding their annual spring sale this Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27, 2014. If you want to get a preview of what's for sale you can click on the slideshow associated with this article.
This plant sale not only features thousands of bromeliads in many genera, but also a broad assortment of tropical plants. You can find beautiful gingers, orchids, succulents, ferns and aroids, as well as edibles and tropical fruit plants. There may also be plant-related merchandise like plant stands, slat baskets and more.
The sale is held inside so you can shop in air-conditioned comfort. Hours will be 9 am to 4 pm both days. Club members will be on hand to answer all of your plant questions and assist you in making wise purchases. You may want to bring boxes or trays to collect small plants as you browse the sales area. Credit cards are not accepted, so bring cash or checks to avoid a mad dash to the ATM.
The sale location is at the Garden Club of Sanford, 200 Fairmont Dr., Sanford, FL. The building faces 17-92 (Orlando Ave), and is just one block south of Lake Mary Blvd.
