Seminole Hard Rock employees 3,700 people, celebrates ten years

Ten years ago, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino opened in Hollywood. This past week the large and well known casino and hotel operation celebrated by holding cultural events and parties. And it looks like the hotel and casino operation will only continue to expand.

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino complex employees 3,740 people and has a payroll of $138 million. There are about 6,600 people who are employed because of the hotel and casino operation and this generates $513 million in money paid to employees, according to the latest Impact Analysis conducted by The Innovation Group for the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

The hotel offers an upscale place to stay while gambling or enjoying restaurants and shows. There are many gambling type games and high stakes poker. People came from all over the world to enjoy the casino and hotel, according to Mizrachi.

"I think it is good that we have something like the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. It really helps the local economy," said Tyler Newcomb.
