The Seminole Bromeliad and Tropical Plant Society will be holding their semi-annual plant sale this coming weekend, August 17 and 18, 2013. It is one of the largest sales of its kind in Central Florida, drawing plant enthusiasts from throughout the region.
This plant sale not only features thousands of bromeliads in many genera, but also a broad assortment of tropical plants. You can find beautiful gingers, heliconias, orchids, succulents, ferns, aroids, and tropical fruit plants like banana, monstera, pineapple and starfruit. Whether you are a windowsill gardener or have large landscaped areas, there will be something for you at this sale. You may want to bring boxes or trays to collect small plants as you browse the sales area, and to carry your purchases home.
The sale is held inside so you can shop in air-conditioned comfort. Hours will be 9 am to 4 pm both days. Club members will be on hand to answer all of your plant questions and assist you in making wise purchases.
The sale location is at the Garden Club of Sanford, 200 Fairmont Dr., Sanford, FL. The building faces 17-92 (Orlando Ave), and is just one block south of Lake Mary Blvd.
