This is short notice but it is important. The Self Reliance Expo is April 8 & 9, 2011. Boy Scouts come one come all to earn parts to some important merit badges.
Boy scouts will be able to earn parts of at least three merit badges. These include First Aid, Radio and Emergency Preparedness. The American Red Cross will be on hand as will the Armateur Radio of Colorado. Bring your Dutch Oven and prepare to compete in a troop Dutch Oven cooking contest at 1PM on Saturday.
There are things for the whole family to see. The Colorado 4H clubs will have a Sport Fishing demonstration. There will be alternative fuel cars on display as well. You can learn about Solar Panels, Water Filtration, Food Storage, Strawbale Housing and what should be in your 72 hour emergency kit.
This great event is at the National Western Complex,in Denver. That is the same place that the Scout show will be held April 16th.

There will be many vendors present to assist you and your family in making plans to be prepared, because we all know that the Boy Scout Motto is Be Prepared.
