Self-instructed life drawing classes return to the Alliance for the Arts (Photos)

Life drawing classes return to the Alliance for the Arts beginning Friday, February 15 from 6-9 p.m. The four week sessions are $55 for Alliance members and $66 for non-members.

Figure drawing, or life drawing, is the study of a human form in various poses. A life drawing is a work that has been completed from observation of a live model in a classical setting complete with stage and dramatic lighting. Life drawing has been carried out for centuries, and it is as important today as it was in the time of such greats as Leonardo and Michelangelo.

"Join the Alliance for the Arts as we continue this centuries old tradition of drawing from life," invites the Alliance in the press release announcing the classes. "Consider a membership today to receive 20% off all classes, as well as many other benefits. For more information go to www.artinlee.org or call 239-939-2787.
