Self Indulgent. Self Destructive. Whichever way you look at it, if it makes you feel good, go with it. I'm talking about break up food. I don't know what it is about breaking up with someone that makes you want to pig out but I assume that you want to feel better.
If you think about it, it's kinda counter-productive. You start out feeling good but then if you gain a pound or two or twenty, you feel bad again. Sounds familiar? That was a little disclaimer before proceeding. Those of you who don't care and just want to live in the self indulgent/destructive moment, let's go.
Number 1: Get some chocolate! Obviously, right.
Here's how: You can go to the dollar store and get a couple candy bars, one of each. Or if you're really feeling yourself, go for the good stuff. Find some Godiva or some chocolate covered, anything. Dive in.
Number 2: Get some ice cream.
Here's how: Again, you can get what's on sale or you can splurge on some Ben & Jerry's. I find that the richess flavors are the best.
Number 3: Greasy, Salty, Sweet!
Here's how: I'm thinking pizza, donuts, fries, potato chips, cakes, and pies. Whatever junk food you can find, dive in and have fun.
Don't lose control. The goal is to enjoy yourself and to allow yourself to do something that you want to do, something that you usually wouldn't do because it just doesn't seem right. Have fun and enjoy!
