Selena Gomez zings Justin Bieber on Letterman

Singer/actress Selena Gomez and late night host David Letterman had some fun at Justin Bieber's expense on the "Late Show with David Letterman" on Monday, March 18, 2013, on CBS Television Network. Selena Gomez was on the show promoting her new movie, "Spring Breakers," but managed to get a good zinger in at her former pop-star boyfriend and a surprised chuckle from Letterman. Letterman wound the interview around to Gomez's relationship status by asking, “Do you date? Do you go out and see – seeing boys now?”

Selena Gomez, who looked stunning in black sequins, answered, “No, not yet, no.”

Letterman brought Justin Bieber into the conversation, asking, “Now, I remember last time you were here, you were with a Justin Bieber?”

Selena Gomez laughed, “I was with ‘a Justin Bieber?,’” with the emphasis on 'A.'

Letterman laughed as he responded: “…Yeah, you were with ‘a Justin Bieber.’ And is that – that’s not going on now.”

Gomez replied, “No, I’m single, yeah.”

Letterman: “You’re fine.”

Gomez: “I’m so good.”

Letterman: “Good, yeah. I think you’re fine.” (audience applauds)

Letterman mentioned Justin Bieber's last visit on the show, saying “Now, the last time he was on, uh, he and I got into a conversation, and I – he said something and then I said something, and then he said something and I said something, and I made him cry.” The statement brought a laugh from Gomez and the audience.

Gomez then made a zinger, saying, “Well, then that makes two of us.” Letterman seemed surprised at her quick response and the two fist bumped while the audience laughed

Letterman chuckled and complimented the young star, saying, “That’s pretty good – pretty strong.”

The "Late Show with David Letterman" is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated. Barbara Gaines, Matt Roberts, Jude Brennan, Maria Pope, Eric Stangel, Justin Stangel and Rob Burnett are the executive producers.
