Selena Gomez targeted by NYC protesters as Justin Bieber rehearses for SNL gig (Video)

Selena Gomez had some trouble on her hands in the Big Apple when sweatshop protestors previewed the NEO label from Adidas. The celebrity, who may or may not be dating Justin Bieber right now, is collaborating with the sneaker giant as style ambassador for their street wear line. Sadly, according to E! News on Feb. 7, this very line was on show for the first time when members of the United Students Against Sweatshops organization interrupted the well planned activities.

The protesters, who crashed the activities during New York fashion week, sported a big banner stating, "Selena, don't be an ambassador for sweatshops."

However, this interruption did not last long and did not deter 20-year-old Sel, who was enjoying herself in the front row. Then, the "Spring Breakers" star hit the runway to congratulate the models who wore the 30 different looks from the NEO line and who were creatively styled by teen bloggers.

Meanwhile, Selena was in the same city as her on-and-off boyfriend, Justin Bieber because he is in charge of hosting "Saturday Night Live" this week. He is also the musical guest, so he's as busy as Gomez seems to be.

Actually, he may be busier since he's actively promoting his new number one disc called "Believe Acoustic" which may or may not be about a recent breakup with the former Disney princess. Meanwhile, Selena and Justin were spotted together in Los Angeles last weekend where she was seen leaving his place on the left coast.

Now, with both parties on the east coast, do you suppose Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are getting together during the hours not spent working the runways for fashion week and working Studio 8H for SNL? Time probably will tell on that issue.
