World-wide, multi-platinum singer and actress Selena Gomez will be performing tomorrow, November 6, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at STAPLES Center. X Factor breakout band Emblem3 will be the opening act for Selena Gomez’s Star Dance tour in 41 U.S. states. Emblem3 released their debut album Nothing to Lose through Columbia Records in July 2013.

Texas native, Selena Gomez made her first debut appearance in 2002 as Gianna in popular child program Barney & Friends. She later appeared in several films such as Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire, and Wizard of Waverly Place: The Movie. In 2009, Selena Gomez released her first studio album Kiss & Tell. The album was a commercial success.

Gomez confirmed in October 2012, that she will be working on an upcoming album. Six months later, the albums lead single Come & Get It was released on April 8, 2013. It landed a spot in the Top 10 hit on Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified double platinum by the RIAA.

Selena Gomez is not only a singer and actress, but also a philanthropist. When she is not on stage or in a movie set, the kind hearted 21-year-old gets involved with different charities. Gomez is an ambassador of DoSomething.org after being involved with a charity that Island Dog, which helps dogs in Puerto Rico. In 2009, she made a surprise appearance to a Los Angeles elementary school as a part of the “A Day Made Better” programed that was sponsored by OfficeMax. Selena Gomez gave the school an award, $1,000 worth of school supplies and talked to students about the importance of giving back to the community.

“This has been such an interesting few months. My music has grown and I want my fans to see a new side of me. Can’t wait to see y’all on the road,” said Selena.
