Though the breakup with Justin Bieber may have taken its toll on Selena Gomez, TVNZ News reported this Sunday, Jan. 6, that despite the Biebs allegedly calling Selena “almost 100 times a day,” the talented “Love You Like a Love Song” singer is taking the split in stride. Selena Gomez’s most recent Twitter post this weekend certainly also shows the star's humorous side with a photo of her talking to an “understanding” tree.
According to TVNZ’s sources and a related report from Hollywood Life, the Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez breakup has taken its toll on both parties. After going their separate ways on New Year’s Eve in Mexico, Selena Gomez is said to be “really hurt” and Justin Bieber’s just “devastated.”
“Justin’s devastated right now. He’s calling Selena like 100 times a day, but she’s hurt and not picking up,” said the source.
Yet Selena let her millions of Twitter fans and friends know that she’ll be all right with a sad yet poignant bit of humor after her reported breakup with the Biebs through a firm, understanding friend: namely, a tree. The Disney Channel star wrote this weekend on Twitter with the above photo:
“Thanks for listening. I bet you understand.”
Whether Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez get back together or remain split, one thing’s for certain; both Justin and Selena will continue to shine in 2013 whether single or a couple, especially with Selena’s new music album this March.
