Selena Gomez reaches out to fans for first time after rehab news

News that Selena Gomez had entered rehab in January for reported exhaustion left fans worried about her. Wet Paint reported on Feb. 11 that Gomez has finally broken the silence. Gomez took to her Instagram account on Monday night to post a picture of herself on a boat smiling, looking happy and healthy. She captioned the photo saying, “I've done everything I could to the best of my ability. Thank you for the unconditional love and cyber hugs. You inspire me.”

News of her secret rehab stay was released a few weeks ago. She was voluntarily admitted to Dawn at the Meadows in Arizona in early January. Her reps were clear that her admission to the facility was not due to substance abuse.

The reports indicate that she possibly only stayed at the treatment facility for two of the six weeks required to complete the program she was in. While she may not have finished the program fans hope she has gained what she needed to from the time spent there. It is reassuring to everyone to see her looking exceptional in her recent post.
