Selena Gomez nominated for two Kids' Choice Awards

Selena Gomez, a popular actress and singer, has been nominated for two Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards according to news reports today (Feb. 13).

Gomez is nominated for Favorite TV Actress and Favorite TV Show for her role in the "Wizards of Waverly Place."

The "Wizards of Waverly Place" is a television show that runs on the Disney Channel. Gomez plays the part of Alex Russo.

"Wizards of Waverly Place" is a Emmy award winning show that first aired in 2007 and focuses on the Russo family. Everyone thinks the Russos are a normal family, but they are not. The kids are all wizards in training.

Gomez has been in the news often since her split with former boyfriend Justin Bieber. The couple has gone through several make up sessions, but the relationship is currently off (again).

Gomez is also an ambassador for the Adidas NEO Line and is partnered with Case-Mate for their 2012 "Right Case, Right Occasion" campaign.

More Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award nominees will be made later today. The Kids' Choice Awards will be on March 23 at 7 p.m. CT.
