Selena Gomez cancels tour, does she have lupus?

Selena Gomez is well-know both in her own right and as the ex-girlfriend of Justin Bieber.

Now news is coming out that the star is taking time off.

There was speculation that perhaps she was going into rehab.

But it turns out that Gomez is taking time off because she has lupus, an auto-immune disease which causes great fatigue and swelling.

The person can suffer from "flare-ups" and feel exhausted. With Selena's busy performing life and hectic schedule it's not surprising she has been having attacks.

San Francisco resident, Katie Adler, says: "My sister has MS and I know all about the flare-ups from her. I know that when she was first diagnosed, they originally checked her for lupus. There is no cure for either disease but people can manage it by having less stress in their lives. I'm sorry to hear this about Selena Gomez."

Selena Gomez just recently cancelled the Asian and Australian leg of her tour and people started to think she might even be suffering from a breakdown, reports the Huffington Post
