Selena Gomez admits being bullied in school: Best friend saved her

Selena Gomez isn’t a stranger to being a victim. The Disney superstar knows what it is like to be a victim, especially when it comes to the idea of school On Friday the pop star shared with her fans just how difficult it was for her during school and how to make the best of it. Answering questions from fans, the celebrity’s voice was heard loud and clear by people who could tell that bullying was a problem for her too.

“I was bullied every second of every day in elementary and middle school. Obviously, people are going to bring you down because of your drive,” said Selena Gomez answering a question from a Cleveland, Ohio fan.

It wasn’t just the idea of being strong that got Selena Gomez through the tough times, it was also a friend, best friend to be exact. According to the star her best friend helped cushion the blow of those who were less kind. Someone who cared about Selena’s situation and didn’t buy into the negativity.

“It's nice that you have a best friend to go through this with. I had a best friend to go through that with and it really helped me ignore negative things I was hearing,” stated Selena Gomez.
