Although Justin Bieber has never publicly revealed the reason for his split with Selena Gomez, a production assistant from Selena’s latest movie “Spring Breakers,” came forward on Feb. 22 to set the record straight about her “friendship” with co-star Gucci Mane.
While Justin and Selena were still an couple when she filmed “Spring Breakers” in June 2012, an insider from the movie has claimed that her blossoming friendship with Gucci was common knowledge on set.
The production assistant revealed to MTO that Gucci Mane spent hours inside Selena's trailer, sometimes with Selena and her friends and many other times, alone with Selena. The source said, “We thought it was odd that she was in there with Gucci Mane. At one point producers sent security to make sure she was okay.”
The former Disney star plays college student who lands in jail over a misunderstanding, while Gucci plays Archie, a sketchy outlaw. As for Gucci’s role, talk about art imitating life … as the rapper had previously been charged with murder in 2005, though the charges were later dropped.
The production assistant added, “It almost became a joke, [another employee] said [to Gucci] ‘Watch out or I’m telling Justin [Bieber].’ [Gucci] was like ‘F*ck that lil n***a.” Of course all of this could simply be payback for the Victoria’s Secret model that Justin allegedly didn’t get together with while still dating Selena or the most recent rumors that Justin dipped out with Rihanna.
