Seis Kamimura returns to Seattle as exec chef of RN74

Seisuke Kamimura, known as Seis, is taking over from Michelle Retallack as exec chef at Michael Mina's wine-centric restaurant, RN74. Retallack is leaving to start a family.

Seattle-area food-lovers last saw Seis as the opening chef at BOKA and moved on to cook at Artisanal. When Terence Brennan abruptly closed Artisanal after six months, Seis remained in the Seattle area as Corporate Chef for the owners of Bellevue Square's Munchbar (pub by day, ultra-lounge by night).

Seis had cooked for Mina at Spago before coming to Seattle. Mina says he's had his eye on him for years, particularly because of his training and ability in French cuisine. "With his dedication, Seis is the perfect chef to take RN74 to the next level."
