One established organization in the community is the Polarity Center for Integrative Health and Awareness, located on 5th Avenue in Columbus. The Polarity Center offers holistic health services for the public including aromatherapy, craniosacral therapy, Feldenkrais, herbal healthcare, massage therapy, meditation relaxation, Polarity Therapy, Polarity Yoga, reflexology, Reiki, and Rolfing.

Its affiliate, the Institute of Holistic Health Careers, offers diploma level training as a Holistic Health Practitioner or Registered Polarity Practitioner, and certificate courses in Associate Polarity Practitioner, Elemental Reflexology, and Total Sensory Integration, as well as Reiki, Herbal Education, and continuing education for nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapy, activities directors, chiropractors, and bodyworkers. The American Polarity Therapy Association describes Polarity Therapy as a “natural health care system that works with the Human Energy Field. Energy fields and currents exist everywhere in nature. Polarity Therapy asserts that the flow and balance of energy in the human body is the foundation of good health.” The Columbus Polarity website describes it as “ a system of energetic touch, reflex and acupressure points that balance energy flow in your body. Polarity, an integrative approach to healing and wellness, involves energetic bodywork, energetic exercise and polarity yoga stretches, and energetic food awareness.”

Some of the benefits claimed for Polarity Therapy are reducing stress, increasing vital energy, promoting healing through self-awareness, restoring and maintaining proper energy flows throughout the body, decreases anxiety, strengthens resilience to stress, enhances immunity, and anti-inflammatory effect on joints.

Ruggieri also writes extensively
on holistic health topics for magazines, as well as E-Newsletters on the Polarity  Center and Institute of Holistic Health Careers websites, and shares her knowledge via  E-videos and YouTube. To locate on YouTube, type in Holistic Health Now.
