Are you eagerly awaiting the release of Toy Story 3 on June 18? You can score your ticket for free when you pick up select packages of Energizer batteries at your neighborhood grocery store or drugstore. Here's the details.
The deal details
First things first: Grab your coupon inserts from the June 13 Sunday paper, and clip out the $1 off any Energizer brand batteries. If you need multiple copies, consider buying them from the Coupon Clippers -- at just a dime a coupon, it's a good way to minimize your out-of-pocket expenses.
Next, head over to the Toy Story 3/Energizer micro-site to familiarize yourself with the details of the promotion.
Basically, the more batteries you buy, the more you save: one purchase of any Energizer® MAX® AA-10 or AA/AAA-12 pack will earn you one offer code, which translates into $3 off the cost of Toy Story 3, or a host of Disney movies available on DVD. Buy the Energizer® MAX® AA-20 batteries jumbo pack, and receive two offer codes, which gets you $6 off on either choice.
If you buy both, you can redeem all three codes for a free certificate to see Toy Story 3 or any Disney/Touchstone movie up to $14. The certificate can be redeemed any time between now and December 31, 2010, so you don't have to rush right out to use it.
You can redeem up to 12 codes per household, so if you really need a lot of batteries, you can potentially get up to four free movie tickets!

Where to buy your Energizer batteries
Currently, the 20-pack economy size of Energizer batteries are on sale at Walgreens for $9.99. If you decide to shop at Walgreens, consider picking up a Schick Hydro razor and Neutrogena soap first, then using the $15 worth of Register Rewards generated from that purchase to buy your Energizer batteries.
This is what's called "rolling" your Register Rewards, and it's a great way to buy more items on your grocery list without spending more money out of pocket. For a more detailed look at Register Rewards and how they work, check out this guide to Walgreens shopping.

Very cool!
Great deal!
What an awesome deal!
I think we need some batteries :-).
I can't wait to buy a five year supply of AA's so I can get a free movie ticket! How about I go to a matinee pay 6 bucks and don't buy a bunch of batteries.
Heff, you're right -- if you don't need batteries, you might want to skip this one. I happened to have them on my shopping list this week, so I don't mind having my money work twice as hard for me. :D
Thanks for the visit!
Just saw the deal at Target and it's about $7.50 +/- for a pack. Thanks for the heads up!
My family uses a lot of batteries for stuff...rc cars, flash lights, noisy toys...we could use this.
