The Carnival Sunshine is the latest incarnation of the Carnival Destiny, which was once a ground breaking cruise ship when it first set sail in 1996. Now it's been completely redone with an overhaul so extensive that it needed a new name befitting what is essentially a new ship.
The Sunshine sailed to Port Canaveral, which is now its new home port. It will sail out on various itineraries, offering cruises starting at five nights throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean.
