From Thursday, January 17 through Sunday, January 20, a lucky group of concertgoers traveled to Jaco, Costa Rica for a tremendous live concert event under the island sun! In its third year, Jungle Jam featured scenic tours, surfing lessons, a trip to Manuel Antonio National Park, a Crocodile Boat Cruise, and a unique opportunity to witness local musicians performing on a stunning outdoor stage under a 200 year old fire tree, surrounded by lush gardens and stirring wildlife.
Performers at Jungle Jam featured Viral Sound, a rock and roll, funky, jazz, and reggae band hailing from Providence, Rhode Island. Connecticut-based Max Creek made their way to the stage, having performed together for 40 years. Their new CD, ‘Maxology’ will be released soon. Visit www.maxcreek.com for more on this band.
Rock band BK-3, currently touring the Northeast, performed their Grateful Dead classics.
Singer-songwriter Zack Deputy brought what he calls his “island-infused drum n’ bass gospel ninja soul” to the stage that weekend. His latest CD is called ‘Another Day.’ Visit www.zachdeputy.com for more on his music!
Mtv award nominee and Boston Music award winners, the Ryan Montbleau Band also appeared at Jungle Jam! Their latest CD is called ‘For Higher’ and to learn more about the Ryan Montbleau Band, visit www.ryanmontbleauband.com.
