See Seger Bring In the Heavy Artillery Tonight at Bridgestone Arena

Want to see a true heavy "metal" show tonight? Then you're in luck. It just might not be the kind you thought - a different kind of metal band take the stage tonight at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville when Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band get the right kind of trigger happy, moving the night away as they barrel through a ton of entertaining hit tunes. No blanks will be shot here - Seger has a long hit list including "Night Moves," "Main Street," "Against the Wind," "Katmandu," "Old Time Rock & Roll," "Hollywood Nights," "You'll Accomp'ny Me," "Turn the Page" and more, even guesting on Kid Rock's new Born Free album. Seger's most recent album is 2006's platinum-selling Face the Promise, and tonight promises to be an unforgettable concert event for the record books (if my past experience as an audience member for a Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band show during their previous round through town [in the same arena even] proves as any indication). He also has an album due out later this year on an as-of-yet undetermined date - led by first and current single "Downtown Train," a Tom Waits cover. Here's hoping that train leads him back through downtown Nashville in the fall (and maybe makes a weekend stop).

The show features rising country artist Frankie Ballard (whose debut album containing first single "Tell Me You Get Lonely" and new single "A Buncha Girls" is due in stores May 24th) as the opener and starts at 7:30. Tickets range from $32.50 to $72.50 plus fees. For more info check out Bob Seger's official website or his official Facebook page.

And just for an extra shot to prove he's still rockin' (not that any proof is needed), talk is afoot that Chevy will soon roll out an old Seger-centered ad campaign, according to The Wall Street Journal.
