See's Candy recalls Almond Clusters in Florida

Some Floridians who look forward to the holiday season when they can purchase See's Almond Clusters at local gift centers may be disappointed this year.

The company has just issued a recall of one code of the product that may contain peanuts. Anyone with a peanut allergy runs the risk of serious reactions including life-threatening anaphylaxis.

The recall involves only one code of the 8 ounce clusters - SF 088/12 which can be seen on the back of the box.

Florida is not the only state affected. Altogether 3600 boxes were also distributed to See’s Holiday Gift Centers and Licensee locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, New York, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana.

The good news is that See's has plenty of delicious chocolates which do not contain peanuts- some that are even sugar free.
