See God's Steadfast Love for His Chosen People

(Psalms 136:10-15) to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, for his steadfast love endures forever; and brought Israel out from among them, for his steadfast love endures forever; with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, for his steadfast love endures forever; to him who divided the Red Sea in two, for his steadfast love endures forever; and made Israel pass through the midst of it, for his steadfast love endures forever; but overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea, for his steadfast love endures forever;

(Luke 1:74-75) that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.

God promised to set apart and to protect His chosen people and He has always and will always be faithful to that promise. In the Old Testament, God created the nation of Israel to represent His chosen people. He sovereignly chose them, and protected them in the midst of their enemies.

In the same way, through His Son Jesus Christ, He does the same thing today with the Church. You are a member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession. He set you apart so that you could proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. You are set apart and under God's special protection not for your own glory or pleasure but for God's purpose in your life and ultimately His kingdom.

Recognize God's steadfast love in your life and in those of His chosen people and proclaim His excellencies. Pursue the purpose God has designated for your life with the assurance and confidence that He has equipped you for your task will deliver you from your enemies
