Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) is presenting their successful series ‘Behind the Curtain’ with exciting opportunities to get behind the scenes and enjoy the full theatrical experience of two renowned Boston productions. Just a few of the productions that BCAE’s ‘Behind the Curtain’ has visited is the Speakeasy Stage show ‘Next to Normal,’ The Huntington Theatre Company’s production of ‘Good People,’ the Boston Opera House’s musical, ‘Mamma Mia,’ the opera, ‘Cosi Fan Tutte’ at the Lyric Stage, and Shakespeare in the Park with the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company. Blue Man Group has dazzled Boston audiences with their unique brand of humor, striking sets, and incredibly entertaining onstage antics! Their ongoing show at the Charles Playhouse has been a must-see attraction for years.

See how the Blue Men prepare for their show backstage and meet and greet the cast and musicians. Then, watch the show and then attend a Q & A session to delve into all of the Blue Man Group’s secrets. BCAE’s ‘Behind the Curtain’ with Blue Man Group will take place on Thursday, January 23 at 6 p.m.

Just a few days later on Wednesday, January 29, visit the Speakeasy Stage Company, 539 Tremont Street in Boston, and spend time with Speakeasy staff member and playwright Walt McGough. He will lead a discussion backstage as director with the cast of the musical, ‘The Color Purple’ before the big show!

The acclaimed musical, ‘The Color Purple’ is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel on the challenges African-American women face in the 1900’s through the eyes of Celie Harris. See this touching musical in premium seats and after the show, meet up at a surprise restaurant for an after-party. The evening will begin at 6 p.m.
