Get a sneak peek at Hingham Civic Music Theatre’s highly anticipated musical, ‘Oliver’ during a special gallery opening at Laura’s Center for the Arts at the South Shore YMCA Fine Performing Arts on Friday, March 22 at 6 p.m. Located at 75 Mill Street in Hanover, Massachusetts, Laura’s Center for the Arts will feature artwork by Emily Lincoln and Dawn Maria DeCosta.
Hingham Civic Music Theatre will perform scenes from 'Oliver,' at 7 p.m. With catchy musical numbers such as ‘Consider Yourself,’ ‘Oliver,’ and ‘I’d Do Anything’ to touching ballads such as ‘As Long as He Needs Me,’ ‘Oliver’ tells the story of a poverty-stricken workhouse orphan whose hopes and dreams of prosperity go well beyond the workhouse doors. Colorful characters, suspenseful drama, and triumphant moments make up this stirring family musical about greed, hope, and family.
Directed by Bill Boyer, performances for ‘Oliver the musical’ will take place on Saturday, April 13, Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees will be on April 14 and April 21 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held at the Sanborn Auditorium at 210 Central Street in Hingham, Massachusetts.
