With the passing of Josh Burdette, the face and head of security at the 930 Club, the DC music scene is not going to feel the same. Similar to the passing of Chuck Brown in a way, in the sense that they both personified a part of the local scene. Brown was the godfather of Go-go, and Burdette was the face of the nation's favorite music venue. And in both cases the best way to commemorate what they have done for the city is to do what they loved. Whatever type of music it is, regardless of where it is, go see a concert to celebrate the life of a man who loved music.
