After a technically flawed appearance at E3, “Crimson Dragon” soars at the Tokyo Game Show.
When Microsoft Studio’s Marc Whitten presented “Crimson Dragon” during the Xbox Global Media Briefing at E3 2013, the lack of sound accompanying the video premiere dampened the audience’s excitement over director Yukio Futatsugi’s latest project. Event goers perusing the show floor would eventually be able to experience the sounds of dragons clashing in epic battles, but the technical goof hurt the early momentum for what is to be one of the Xbox One’s launch titles. Developers Grounding and Land Ho! were finally able to make amends to fans who wanted to fully experience the trailer on the big screen at the Tokyo Game Show. After a great showing, the spiritual successor to “Panzer Dragoon” appears to be ready to finally make its long-awaited debut. “Crimson Dragon” will be an Xbox One exclusive available on November 22nd for $19.99 (Xbox Wire Staff, 2013). Players who purchase and play “Crimson Dragon” before December 31th will receive an exclusive dragon unit (Xbox Wire Staff, 2013).
