Second trailer for ‘World War Z’ released this weekend

The second trailer for the upcoming World War Z movie was released this weekend.
The new trailer is embedded in the video player below.
World War Z is one of the greatest works of zombie and horror literature, presenting a global collection of oral histories about how mankind repelled the zombie apocalypse.
The troubled film production, which became a source of epic contention between its star/producer Brad Pitt who wanted to stay much closer to the original material and the movie studio, has been diverted into a CGI-packed action film for this summer’s moviegoers. After playing some director roulette and having a substantial part rewritten by Lost and Prometheus writer Damon Lindelof, it was bumped from a December 2012 release to this approaching summer.
The book contains no CGI-rendered zombie hives and focuses on various individual oral histories of people battling the zombie menace around the world.
The upcoming film adaptation, now directed by Quantum of Solace’s Marc Forster, follows the quest of United Nations operative Gerald Lane (played by Pitt) as he races around the globe and against a ticking clock to find a way to stop the zombie pandemic.
Judge the trailer yourself. And then run, but don’t climb all over yourself in a lame CGI fashion, to your local book dealer like the Boulder Book Store or the Tattered Cover in Denver a get a copy of the real deal.
The new film also stars Mireille Enos, Matthew Fox, and David Morse. World War Z is currently holding to its June 21, 2013 release date. The official movie site is
