Anime and manga publisher Viz Media, along with film distribution company Eleven Arts, announced earlier today, that the second “Tiger & Bunny” film, “Tiger & Bunny The Movie: The Rising”, will be making its theatrical debut in select cities across the United States in March.

In “Tiger & Bunny The Movie: The Rising”, Kotetsu and Barnaby see their partnership come to a sudden end, as Apollon Media’s new owner, Mark Schneider, fires Kotetsu and Barnaby is moved back to the First League. Barnaby now finds himself partnered with Golden Ryan, a new hero with incredible powers (and a matching ego). As the new partners investigate a string of strange incidents, tied to the city’s Goddess Legend, they will uncover a plot by three superpowered NEXTs, to bring terror and destruction to Stern Bild.

The movie is set to premier in Japan in February and it will make its theatrical debut stateside, in 20 cities, one month later, beginning Saturday, March 15th. Among the cities that will be showing “Tiger & Bunny The Movie: The Rising” are, San Diego, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, Littleton, Fort Lauderdale/Miami, Honolulu, Chicago, Bloomfield, Manville, New York, Columbus, Portland, Pittsburg, Houston, Dallas, San Antonia, Fairfax and Seattle.

Tickets will be available for $15 each and attendees will receive a free 12” X 18” premium cardstock movie poster, and while supplies last, an exclusive movie clear file. Ticket information about show times can be found at this link.

Viz Media will also be holding a special hometown screening on March 22nd, at New People Cinema in San Francisco. More details about this screening will be available soon on the “Tiger & Bunny” Facebook page.
