Now playing thru the 22nd at the Copley Theatre in Aurora is The Second City's Nut-Cracking Holiday Revue.

Chicago's very own famed comedy improv troupe is back in Aurora performing 11 sketch and improvisation shows with a holiday theme. The show opened last weekend and is playing every Thursday thru Sunday until Christmas.

The show is a multi-national success, having opened to energetic reviews in Toronto. "This holiday revue is a tradition definitely worth keeping -- and seeing" said Post City Magazines.

The Globe and Mail news syndication raved that the show is "A light-hearted look at December distress. The Second City troupe finds merriment in the madness, mirth in the Christmas mire, a sparky satire on the flip-side of fa-la-la."

The Second City's Nut-Cracking Holiday Revue is an all-new holiday show that illustrates through improv, songs, and sketches, all the joys (and stresses), of last-minute Christmas shopping, hectic winter weather, and the unpredictability of all your relatives crammed into one house.

This holiday season's shows by The Second City are for mature audiences due to adult language and content, and because with improv, you never know what you'll find under the Christmas tree.

Tickets for Nut-Cracking Holiday Revue ar $35. The Copley Theatre is located at 8 East Galena Boulevard in the North Island Center in Aurora. For more information call 630-896-6666 or visit
