Second Chance Animal Shelter to open dog park in North Brookfield

In an interesting, coincidental twist to last week's article on the lack of dog parks in the Worcester area and surrounding communities, Second Chance Animal Shelter in East Brookfield and North Brookfield announced yesterday that plans are in the works to add a dog park for the community on their property in North Brookfield.

The town council chose Second Chance as the location for the park as part of an Eagle Scout project.

The dog park will be located on the same property at Second Chance's new Wellness Center in North Brookfield.

Details are forthcoming.  Our area can sure use a dog park, so this is a great development for the dog owners of our area.

Stay tuned!  More information will be revealed as soon as it is available.

Volunteers will be needed, as well as donations of supplies for the project such as cement, grass seed, etc.
