Second annual No-Kill Walk for the Animals scheduled for May 5th

Enjoy some fresh air with your pets and support your favorite no-kill animal rescue or shelter May 5th at the second annual No-Kill Walk for the Animals.

Every year thousands of animals are saved thanks to the hard work of volunteers at no-kill rescues and shelters. These organizations and volunteers offer spay and neuter services, provide veterinary care, find foster homes, rehabilitate and socialize animals to prepare them for adoption, and help find loving and safe forever homes for them. These rescues run on shoe-string budgets and rely on the efforts of volunteers and the donations from caring animal lovers.

Registration for the event starts at 9 a.m. at the Upper Shelter of Spooner Park in Little Canada on May 5th, the walk begins at 10 a.m. Participating rescues, along with animal friendly vendors, will be there with information and some furry friends that are available for adoption. Walkers are encouraged to bring their furry friends and to raise walk pledges for their favorite rescue.
