The 2014 SEC Tournament live stream and TV schedule continues today with several big match-ups, but none bigger than the first game of the day when the Missouri Tigers take on the Florida Gators. The Gators finished 18-0 in SEC play this season and are not just the No. 1 seed in the SEC Tournament but they are the top team in the country.
According to a Palm Beach Post report on March 13, No. 1 Florida (29-2, 18-0 SEC) and No. 8 seed Missouri (22-10, 9-9 SEC) will tip-off today at 1 p.m. EST. Missouri advanced to the quarterfinal round after taking down Texas A&M 91-83 in double overtime.
Mizzou may be getting a crack at the No. 1 team in the nation, but it will be interesting to see if fatigue becomes an issue for the Tigers after playing a double overtime game yesterday. Tired or not, Missouri will be up and ready for this game.
The Tigers played well vs. Florida last month even though they ended up on the short end of the score.
The Gators defeated Mizzou 68-58 back on Feb. 4, but the final score doesn’t indicate how close the game really was. The Tigers led the game at the half and battled all through the second half, but in the end Florida hit key shots as they pulled away for the 10 point win.
Can the Tigers upset the No. 1 seeded Gators? It will be a tough task, but you never know. Villanova was the No. 1 seed in the Big East Tournament, but after getting upset by Seaton Hall yesterday they are not only out of the Big East Tournament, but they probably blew a chance at a No. 1 seed in the March Madness Tournament.
Las Vegas odds makers have the Gators as the favorite at -12.5 with the over/under number set at 132.
Florida is a machine. They aren't the No. 1 team in the country for nothing. However Mizzou will be up for this game and should play well. The Gators may get the win, but the points look good here.
Pick - Missouri +12.5
Fans can catch this game live on ESPNU and streaming live online on WatchESPN beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST.
