SEC Spring Football Team Look #4: Tennessee Volunteers

Throughout spring football practice in the SEC, I’ll have previews, reports and recap interviews with reporters that cover each team in the SEC on this page.

Here’s our 4th of 14 National SEC Examiner Spring Football Previews, the Tennessee Volunteers, with new head coach Butch Jones. Tennessee finished last season 5-7 (1-7 SEC) under Derek Dooley.

Below is a team preview you find anywhere else in broadcast media.

Every college football player on the Vols roster (100) was mentioned. Every position was broken down with: things to look for, open positions, potential starters, who are the guys competing for playing time, who are the newcomers and much more.

In 17 minutes, we did this for the Tennessee Volunteers in 2013 on the “News Sentinel Sports Page” radio talk show this week.

For our in-depth preview of Tennessee, I called-on the insights of one of my radio show co-hosts, Evan Woodbery, Tennessee football beat reporter for the Knoxville News Sentinel.
