Be on the lookout for roaming penguins and ice-enclosed autos. SeaWorld Orlando has just kicked off its most epic adventure ever. Designed to introduce travelers to the park's upcoming attraction, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, the Epic Voyage tour is bringing thrills and chills to a street near you.
With teams scoping out city streets in Antarctic-themed Hyundai Santa Fes and Sonata hybrids, SeaWorld’s Epic Voyage will invade malls, convention centers and consumer travel shows, mingling with locals and visitors at spots such as commuter stations and notable landmarks. This unique, family-friendly experience consists of a massive dome of ice complete with interactive virtual reality, photo opportunities, chances to win prizes and, most importantly, live penguins.
Along with stops in seven cities, the Epic Voyage campaign includes a new mobile app. Both are designed to give families a chance to familiarize themselves with the new penguin attraction at SeaWorld Orlando. The Coca-Cola Freestyle machines will also be out and about, dispensing free, refreshing sodas.
Only at SeaWorld Orlando, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin is a journey into an icy world where guests will see the splendor of the South Pole through the eyes of hundreds of penguins, including gentoos, kings, rockhoppers and adelies. This first-of-its-kind family ride allows guests to explore a penguin colony from the state-of-the-art confines of a mobile simulator. If you're as much of a penguin fan as this Examiner, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin will be the must-see theme park attraction of the year.
In recent press release, Toni Caracciolo, Vice-President of Marketing & Sales for SeaWorld Parks & Resorts Orlando, said ...
“Since Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin was announced in November 2011, we’ve been planning and looking forward to bringing a glimpse of the attraction to these key markets to connect with our fans and let them feel the chill."
SeaWorld is inviting everybody to "follow the freeze" with SeaWorld’s all-new mobile app, SeaWorld Antarctica. The app puts fans right into the action of Antarctica with behind-the-scenes videos and tour details and penguin facts and trivia. They can also enter the Family Voyage Sweepstakes where two lucky families will receive a four-day, three-night journey to SeaWorld Orlando to be one of the first to experience Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin.
This vacation for four includes round trip airfare, hotel accommodations, tickets to SeaWorld and Aquatica Orlando, front-of-the-line ride passes, dining options and more. The app – SeaWorld’s Antarctica – is available for download now on iPhone and iPad, and will soon be available for Android devices.
