I'm a big fan of living nativities and theme park Christmas shows, so it's no wonder that O Wondrous Night at SeaWorld Orlando wins my vote for best holiday show. It starts out with animal puppets, who tell the story of the nativity from their viewpoint, but something wonderful happens at the end.
Click the video accompanying this article for the full O Wondrous Night show. Its score features a wide range of Christmas music sung beautifully by the cast. It's on a par with the Candlelight Processional at Epcot for putting me in the Christmas spirit. Even though it's based on the Christian story, it has a universal theme that's appropriate for anyone. It's all about helping others and playing a cooperative part in something bigger.
This show is a little long for younger children, but the puppets help keep their attention. It's a very popular show, so you need to check your schedule as soon as you arrive at the park and get to the theater early to ensure that you get a good seat. I consider this show and Shamu Christmas Miracles the two must-dos of this event.
