'Fess up. Depending on your age, you likely watched Sesame Street when you were a kid. I'm just old enough to have cut my teeth on the original episodes, in the pre-Elmo days. Of course, kids today love Elmo and newer friends like Zoe and Abby Cadabby, and they still appreciate the old favorites like Ernie, Bert, and Cookie Monster. They'll get a big kick out of "Elmo Rocks" at SeaWorld Orlando, and their parents and grandparents will appreciate the '80s music.
"Elmo Rocks" is currently being presented during Just for Kids, which runs on Saturdays through April 12 at SeaWorld Orlando. It's held in the Seaport theater, which is also home to the Pets Ahoy show (hint: it's an inside theater, so the air conditioning feels might good on a hot day). Click the slideshow accompanying this article for some photos from the show.
The plot is simple, since it's geared to the younger set. The gang's favorite rock band had to cancel a concert, so they decide to put on their own show. Bert's a little shy about auditioning, but eventually everyone shows their talent, and they all come together for a big rockin' finale. No matter what you're age, you'll laugh at Cookie Monster's rendition of "Can't Get No Satisfaction" and Bert's "Hip to be Square," as well as his "Don't Stand So Close to Me" ode to Ernie.
