Flying from Seattle to Reykjavik for $399 round-trip is a great airfare. It's yours if you book it on Icelandair, for travel between Oct. 25-Dec. 16, 2010.
Earlier in October, Iceland rocks more than usual during the Iceland Airwaves music festival. The 2010 dates are Oct. 13-17, and Icelandair has an air, hotel and festival pass package from $599. The festival made its debut in 1999, and David Fricke of Rolling Stone called it, "The hippest long weekend on the annual music-festival calendar."
Confirmed international artists include Robyn (SE), The Antlers (USA), Think About Life (CA), Joy Formidable (UK), Oh No Ono (DK) and Reykajavik! from Iceland. Icelandair is offering an Early Bird discount to passengers who book by Aug. 31, 2010.
This week, Scotland is Icelandair's featured destination. Fly to Glasgow from Seattle ($629 R/T) and seek out its historic castles, nightlife or play a round of golf on one of its hundreds of courses. Icelandair has up to five weekly flights to Scotland via its Reykjavik hub. Travelers may also stop over in Iceland en route to Glasgow at no additional charge.
